Brentford FC is a football club located in Brentford, London, United Kingdom, with its men's football team competing in the English Premier League. Brentford Football Club was founded on October 16, 1889, and plays its home matches at Brentford Community Stadium.  
Since its establishment, Brentford has been involved in the lower leagues of England for many years, winning the English League Two championship in the 1934-35 season and thus being promoted to the English League One (the top league of England at that time) for the first time. After being relegated from League One in 1947, Brentford briefly fell into the fourth tier league of England. In the 1991-92 season, Brentford returned to the second tier league in England, but soon returned to the third tier league. In the 2013-14 season, Brentford was re promoted to the second tier league in England. In the 2020-21 season, Brentford was promoted to the English Premier League through a playoff, marking their return to the top flight of England after 74 years. Brentford also became the 50th team in history to participate in the Premier League.  
Brentford, due to their lack of strength, has not won many honors in history, winning 1 English second tier league championship, 2 English third tier league championships, and 3 English fourth tier league championships.  
In December 2024, in the quarterfinals of the English League Cup, Brentford lost 1-3 to Newcastle United
