The Tigers Football Club of the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon is a professional football club based in the state of Nuevo Leon, Mexico. It was founded in the 1959-1960 season and currently participates in the Mexican Primera Division. Its home ground is the University Stadium of SAN Nicolas. This club is affiliated with the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon, and its main local Derby opponent is the Monterrey Football Club.
The club was formerly known as Jabatos and was renamed to its current name in the 1959-1960 season. In February 2021, the team defeated Palmeiras 1-0 in the semi-final of the Club World Cup, becoming the first Mexican team to advance to the final of the tournament. The all-time top scorer of the team is the French player Gignac, who helped the team win five Mexican Premier League titles and the first CONCACAF Champions League trophy during his tenure.
