F.C. Internazionale Milano, also known as Inter Milan, is a football club located in Milan, Lombardy, Italy. It was founded on March 9, 1908. The team's home stadium is the Meazza Stadium and they are currently playing in the Italian Serie A.
Inter Milan is a football club formed by the diversion of members from the "Milan Cricket and Football Club" (i.e. AC Milan Club). Because the club opened its doors to all players from around the world at its inception, it is called an "international" club. On June 7, 2016, Suning Sports acquired 68.55% of the club's shares.
Internazionale was once one of the "seven sisters of Serie A", and together with AC Milan and Juventus, they were also called the top three in the north. The collision between AC Milan, a club also from Milan, is called the 'Milan Derby', while the confrontation between Juventus from Turin is called the 'National Derby'. Inter Milan is the only Italian league team to have won five championships (UEFA Champions League, Italian Serie A, Italian Cup, Italian Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup).
