Real Madrid CF, abbreviated as "Real Madrid", is a football club located in the capital of Spain, Madrid. The team was founded on March 6, 1902, formerly known as the Madrid Football Team. In 1905, he successfully won the first championship in the team's history - the Spanish King's Cup. On June 29, 1920, King Alfonso XIII of Spain added the word "Real" (meaning "royal" in Spanish) to the club's name and added a crown to its emblem, in order to promote the development of football in the Spanish capital city of Madrid. From then on, the club was officially named Real Madrid Football Club.

On December 27, 2024 Beijing time, Real Madrid was selected as the Best Men's Club at the 2024 FIFA World Cup.
